I took this picture from Dunagoil fort,south west bute towards the rugged mountains on the nearby island of Arran.I very much enjoy visiting both of these fine islands each with its own quality landscape features.

Oban at Night

I always believe that oban becomes a more vibrant place when lit up at Dusk,for example the tower is almost hidden amongst the similar coloured granite houses in daylight,whilst after dark it becomes the symbol of Oban glowing in the night sky like a beacon.That is why it must be floodlit at all times.This has not been the case ie for the winter festival display,Its oban,s eiffel tower,its oban,s whitehouse,the sydney bridge,its obans blackpool tower,it represents Oban!!
