This autumn view taken across loch Creran from the beautiful island of Eriska which has a prestegeous hotel and Spa set amongst some of scotlands finest scenery.Taken from the wooden bridge which crosses Loch Creran onto the island.Canon EOS1Ds Mk 3 with 24-105 canon lense.Life goes from minute to minute and every minute presents a new challengewww.scotphoto.com/prints.html
When Autumn arrives with a blaze of colour I always enjoy a visit to this beautiful island with its hotel and Spa,after all it is on my doorstep. We look after their photographic portfolio and with views like this you can see why we enjoy being associated with such a prestegious destination.

Well folks it Autumn again and between the belts of rain the colours are looking good. Here are some of my recent autumn views including this one shot amongst the deciduous trees on loch Aweside with the threatening shower clouds helping to protrude the colours.Canon EOS1Ds mk 3 with Sigma 12mm lense. This lense is a cracker.
Here is another autumn view this time on the shore of Loch Etive and yes with the added bonus of a rainbow. This was taken on the north connel side of the loch from the Bonawe road.www.scotphoto.com
Dennis Hardley Photography were chosen by Visit Scotland this year to promote Autumn
breaks.3 of our pictures were used for this special promotion. One of my favourite recent autumn shots taken from the shore of the Lake of mentieth with a natural starburst and its reflection from the edge of a tree trunk.Using small aperture to get the starburst effect.www.scotphoto.com
Once again the Autumn colours are back and do look great with nice lighting. Perthshire always looks good in the Fall .Here is a recent picture taken from the queens view towards Loch Tummel.

Well folks you must have guessed that I was away again, with no new postings for over a week. I have just returned from visiting Blackpool Illuminations where we spent a week on holiday, but of course my camera went with me,just the Nikon D3X this time. Here is a selection of images from that trip including this one of a street vendor selling illuminated spinning toys .Living in rural Scotland Blackpool is in complete contrast to Benderloch,Argyll.Every night i was out walking the prom amongst the lights, the donkeys, the horses, the trams, and WOW was it busy.Blackpool is 25% up this year.www.scotphoto.com
Here's another night scene of the fountains which are synchronized to the music of the Beatles, and Michael Jackson. Its fascinating to watch. For those who have not yet seen Blackpool illuminations especially the kids, its hard to believe that they run along the promenade for approx 4 miles.Dennis Hardley Photography.
During my week in Blackpool last week I was always looking for other types of imagery and I was well pleased with this shot of two cyclists cycling along the prom.I took this with a well practised
slow shutter speed.Ill use this as an art card.I am a happy chappy. One day Ill spend my days doing just this along this lovely new prom.
I JUST love love TAKING NIGHT SHOTS searching the depths of my imagination for new effects and ideas.and Blackpool illuminations is the place. Its like Vegas full of excitement people, trams, donkeys, horses, circus, tower, sea and millions of light bulbs. Here is another shot of the fountains www.scotphoto.com and www.ineedanimage.com

TODAY I dashed down to Oban airport to get some shots of 4 Lynx choppers that called in for a fuel stop. Both Mk 7 and Mk9s were amongst the group. The way to identify each each MK is as follows:The MK 7 has skids undercarrage and the Mk 9 has non retractable wheels. Later they set off east along Loch Etive and then towards Loch Awe.The shot was taken with a Nikon D3X 70-300 zoom http://www.scotphoto.com/

The Crianlarich hotel is on the up and up with new management and staff .Dennis and Tony were asked to shoot food on latest visit. Here is one of their new specialities fit for the many hungry walkers that call in during their West Highland Way trek. This dish looks and smells as good as it looks. A Hot Pot dish topped with fresh sliced potatoes.Dennis Hardley Photography at http://www.scotphoto.com/
We were asked to shoot more food at this up and coming hotel produced by head chef Calum.
One of the seafood dishes was this one depicting fresh Langoustines. This hotel is now under new management and business in booming.
Apart from landscapes Dennis really enjoys doing food shoots its such a great subject where composition is as important as in the shooting of a landscape.
